DESIGN
Through its design arm Associated Steel Products & Associated Steel Products Africa provide a complete design service to clients aimed at delivering all the standard details required by the project Architect, Structural Engineer and Security Consultant to achieve the security ratings specified.
All detailing is undertaken by qualified Structural Engineers who have wide experience of general
construction and specialist high-security structures and who pride themselves on their ability to integrate
with project contractors.

ASP provides a complete method statement regarding the installation of the spiral armouring
elements which is fully integrated with the overall project detailing and drawings. This statement
includes a detailed specification regarding the concrete pour, strengths, aggregate size and the content
of water and cement. A quality assurance sheet to be used with each concrete pour is supplied as part
of the package.

In vault construction projects, there is full integration with Gunnebo engineers to ensure that the installation of the vault door and ancillary services are fully integrated with the monolithic vault structure in order to preserve the integrity of the Resistance Grade specified.

Given the integral relationship between the security structure and the overall building structure, ASP
always requests involvement in the project design and detailing process at the earliest possible stage to
avoid any potential conflicts.
